An insider on Twitter named Daniel Richtman has previously revealed in a tweet that the test screenings for Sony’s Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter have been quite successful. The trailer for Madame Web was dropped recently and so far, it has received mixed reviews on the internet but it is too early to make any judgments as the film will be released in February 2024.

In November 2022, industry insider Big Screen Leaks revealed that the early version of Kraven the Hunter had been labeled as “a pretty solid film” by the viewers who attended the test screenings. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 30, 2024, so the studio still has a lot of time to make the required changes.

Given the popularity of superhero movies nowadays, it makes sense why Sony is planning to expand its Spider-Man Universe. Unfortunately, their last movie, Morbius (2022) was a complete failure but Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter may help them recover the losses. In 2018, Tom Hardy revealed that he has signed on to star in three Venom films and so far, fans have only got two so a third Venom movie is also in the works and is expected to release in late 2024.

Marvel Studios, on the other hand, is also expanding. With Walt Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, it has allowed the MCU to reach the next level. With a new Deadpool movie and upcoming Fantastic Four movie, fans have been going wild.
