Christopher Nolan never ceases to leave his audiences amused. Recently, following the release of the Emma Stone-starrer critically acclaimed series The Curse, Nolan did the same. However this time, he didn’t stun and leave his fans confused and unable to believe it through some strange tactic. Instead, this time, it was simply through his reaction to the finale of the 2023 series, which he seems to have texted showrunner Benny Safdie about!

Warning: Major Spoilers for The Curse Finale Episode Ahead!

The Curse Finale Had Even Christopher Nolan Shell-Shocked

First of all, before starting, we would once again ask for readers to continue at their own risk because the upcoming few verses of this article are going to hold some serious spoilers of the series finale of the Emma Stone-starrer 2023 comedy drama.

Second, The Curse lead crew actually nailed it with the stunt scenes for the finale episode. While Stone practically killed it while being strapped to the ceiling, upside down, with her head getting dragged back (feel the intensity of it all yet?), Nathan Fielder took it even further.

Fielder was actually stuck up there to the point where his face turned purple. In fact, even the stunt guy claimed he couldn’t be up there for more than 4 minutes otherwise he’d pass out because of the blood rushing to his head. But Fielder defied it all and stayed up there for 7 minutes.

As surprising as it may seem to you, it was equally surprising to Christopher Nolan, if not more. This is because, after watching that entire dark and absolutely crazily perfect series, the director seems to have literally texted Benny Safdie about how they managed to do it.

According to what Fielder shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

“One of the best things was when Benny [Safdie] said that Christopher Nolan texted him and was like, ‘How did you guys do that?’”

An ending that left even the great Nolan stunned? Sounds unbelievable, no? But what fans are finding even harder to believe than this ending or Nolan’s reaction is the fact that the filmmaker actually texted Benny Safdie for that!

And Now, Christopher Nolan Has Fans Shell-Shocked With This Revelation

While the lead cast’s performance for the end of the series and Nolan’s reaction to it has fans already amazed, what they just can’t seem to understand is how the director ended up texting Safdie about it when he doesn’t even possess a smartphone.

For those who may be unversed, The Dark Knight helmer once revealed during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter how he neither uses email to communicate with people nor does he “carry a smartphone.” In fact, he even types down his scripts without an active internet connection!

That being said, fans were left utterly confused by this revelation about him texting Safdie to talk about the Stone-starrer for the same reason. This is also why they had the most hilarious of reactions to this revelation as well.
