Following the box office failure of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which was made with a whopping $205M budget, the actor recently faced another major blow from the Fast & Furious franchise. As reported by Jeff Sneider, the franchise is reportedly looking for a new addition to its cast.
Apparently, while Jason Momoa found incredible success with his villainous role as Dante Reyes in Fast X, the actor might face competition in the next installment. According to industry scooper Jeff Sneider, the Fast & Furious franchise is planning to bring in another villain alongside Momoa for their sequel.

Jason Momoa’s Aquaman 2 Faced a Miserable Run
Marking the end of DCEU, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was expected to be a major success featuring Amber Heard. Unfortunately, due to the negativity surrounding the film, Momoa’s sequel failed to impress fans despite its whopping $205M budget. While most expected the DCEU flick to end with a bang, it turned out to be quite the opposite.
Initially predicted to earn around $450M globally, the movie initially managed to bag $100M at the domestic markets, and then earned around $340M at the worldwide box office, as per ScreenRant. On a positive note, netizens believe there’s still hope for the film, as it is still running in theatres and constantly earning. But to break even with its estimated budget, the film will have to make a minimum of $400M globally.
After Jason Momoa’s Aquaman 2 reached $340M, few fans believe the DCEU flick can slowly make its way to the $400M mark, while others have bleak hope for the film. But amid such a miserable performance of his highly anticipated DC movie, Momoa seems to face another major blow from his Fast & Furious franchise.
Jason Momoa Might Face Competition in Fast 11
Following Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom suffering a miserable run, the actor’s Fast & Furious franchise appears to be turning against him. Despite his riveting performance as the Fast X villain Dante Reyes, it seems the actor might face a devastating blow from the franchise, as they are reportedly preparing for a new addition to their cast.

According to industry scooper Jeff Sneider, the Fast & Furious franchise might be opting for a new villain alongside Jason Momoa. Since the latest entry ended on a cliffhanger as Dante trapped Dom and his son, little Brian, at the bottom of a dam rigged with explosives, Fast 11 will indefinitely bring back Momoa. But along with him, the franchise will apparently introduce another villain.
Although previously Jeff Sneider’s comments created confusion among fans that the Fast & Furious franchise would no longer feature Jason Momoa, he later clarified it via X. Sneider mentioned that since the previous movie ended on a cliffhanger, it is impossible to replace Momoa with a new villain, so what the franchise will do is bring back Dante Reyes, but will also cast a new villain.
I wanna make something clear since, naturally, I'm seeing it misreported. I didn't say Momoa wouldn't be back for Fast 11. I'm certain he will. The last film ended on a cliffhanger! I'm just hearing that they want another big baddie/villain in addition to him. Dante was divisive.

This supposed report seems to add to Jason Momoa’s streak of bad luck as there appears to be chances of him getting overshadowed by the new villain. Amid the failure of Aquaman 2, this speculated information about Fast 11, seems to bring on a major competition for Momoa, which might force him to upgrade his performance even more.
