Daredevil: Born Again is a show that is very hotly anticipated by Marvel fans, given that it is bringing into the MCU one of the most beloved adaptations of the character. However, one concerning rumour has been picking up steam, one that has put fans on edge about the upcoming Disney+ offering.
Daredevil: Born Again has confirmed a lot of the original cast returning, including Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Vincent D’Onofrio. While these have fans excited (especially with leaks showing Karen, Foggy and Matt hanging out), a concerning bit of unconfirmed information has surfaced with regards to the story.
Daredevil does not interact much with The Kingpin
According to an unconfirmed rumour on X, as per user @MyTimeToShineH it is allegedly the case that Matt Murdock, as himself or in his Daredevil persona, might not interact with Kingpin as much as fans would like. This is concerning, given that out of the three seasons of the show, the one that was least well-received by fans was the one that did not have Wilson Fisk.
Further, Seasons 1 and 3 focused mostly on the dynamic between Fisk and Murdock, something that would be important for a Daredevil show to do right. Fisk is poised to be one of the strongest villains in the Street-level universe of the MCU, making him a Thanos-type figure for the likes of Moon Knight, Daredevil, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones, along with other street-level heroes that could be introduced in the MCU.
Daredevil: Born Again has already done a few things right
One of the few things that Daredevil: Born Again has done right already has fans rooting for the show already. The casting of Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson in their roles as Foggy and Karen respectively has gotten fans hyped beyond measure, given that these two, along with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, were able to create a strong emotional core for the story that resonated with fans.
Other than that, Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as Frank Castle, who was the highlight of the second season of Daredevil. Given that these aspects of the show, along with D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk have been confirmed for the show, fans are excited for the show more than ever. Also, the creatives behind the second season of Loki and certain episodes of Moon Knight, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, have been onboarded after the creative overhaul, further cementing fan support for the show.
