Generally, the news of an MCU film wrapping is celebrated because it means it’s closer to release. The latest reports that have made everyone scratch their heads are about Deadpool 3. Apparently, filming of the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-starrer is almost finished even though it has been barely a month since cameras began rolling. Here’s the tweet confirming the same:

This has raised multiple concerns in the fanbase. What most people are worried about is that the film will be missing its trademark sarcasm, irony, and fourth-wall-breaking because Ryan Reynolds hasn’t been allowed to improvise amid the ongoing WGA strike. Since the scripts were done before the strike went down, so filming could begin.
But no changes or even improvisations by actors could be made because that constitutes altering the script and doing writing work, which isn’t allowed due to the strike. But fans are worried that without improvisations, Wade Wilson’s fourth-wall-breaking and slightly inappropriate humor won’t shine through in the upcoming film. Also, there’s concern that banter between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman won’t work well.
Fans Can’t Believe That Deadpool 3 Is Almost Done Filming
The reports of Deadpool 3 almost being done filming have troubled fans of the titular character. Not only was the shooting seemingly wrapped within a month or less, but it was also done within the WGA strike. It’s almost unheard of for an MCU film to wrap shooting within a month or so. But there might not be too much cause for concern. After all, it’s possible that pre-production was done really well to ensure that the actual filming could go smoothly. It’s also possible that the team could film additional scenes later on when/if the strike lifts. Along with this, stuff can be added, edited, or removed during post-production as well. Right now, more updates are awaited.
Deadpool 3 has a release date of May 3, 2024.
