Live-action Wolverine has been around since 2000 but the audience has never seen him sport his own yellow and blue spandex. According to Jackman, the reaction of the movie’s crew upon seeing it was priceless.

Deadpool & Wolverine Stars Stunned Crew Members

While speaking with The Movie Report on YouTube at the Eventim Apollo in London, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman recalled the very first time they fitted their costumes and revealed the reactions of their crew members.

I can talk about the first day we walked on set wearing the uniform, and for me, wearing the yellow and blue for the first time, but together we came out and there we were at Pinewood here in London, and the crew that, let’s just say they worked a lot of movies before… there was a hush amongst everyone, and that was a really cool moment.

The crew members were basically stunned and left speechless upon seeing the tandem in their Deadpool and Wolverine costumes. It’s high time that Jackman gets to wear his character’s comic book outfit after portraying him for two decades. On the other hand, Reynolds said:

I knew there was something auspicious about it but I didn’t recognize how intense that would feel. That whole crew was just silent when we were standing next to each other in those suits, and it was a real eye-opener for me.

Surely, the general crowd will have a different reaction to it when they watch the movie in theaters. For years, the fans have been clamoring for a Deadpool and Wolverine team-up and now that their wish is granted, everyone will be cheering and clapping inside the theaters.

The crew members’ initial reaction is, of course, valid, and they will probably be cheering along with the fans once the movie hits the cinemas.

Hugh Jackman On Wearing Wolverine’s Costume

Hugh Jackman previously opened up about finally getting to wear the iconic Wolverine suit via Empire Magazine:

From the moment I put it on here, I was like, ‘How did we never do this?’ It looked so right, it felt so right.

The actor teased that “there are different sides of Wolverine we haven’t seen before in the movies” and this is the most exciting part for him. While he has appeared in a number of X-Men films, the version he will exhibit in Deadpool 3 will be refreshingly new.

It’s only a matter of days before fans meet one of the most iconic duos in the world of comics. The film will be directed by Shawn Levy and distributed by Walt Disney Studios.
