The Elden Ring DLC trailer gave everyone their first glimpse at some substantial gameplay in the next bit of content from FromSoftware. However, it’s been a long time since the DLC was first teased last year. While it can be a bit frustrating, fans of FromSoftware games are not strangers to such extended wait times.

But, thankfully, other developers are not as taxing and give players some content to engage with until the new DLC drops. Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio are on this list, as it has been announced that Lies of P will be getting more content in 2024.

Lies of P, a Soulslike Drawing Inspiration From Pinocchio, Is Now Getting More Content

The information comes from PC_Focus_ on X, who stated that Lies of P DLC is confirmed for FY2024. This is great news for people who have played the game and wanted more of the world the developers created. Lies of P was received very positively by the gaming community, with many praising the world-building, mechanics, and faithfulness to the Soulslike genre.

The positive reception no doubt fueled the desire to create more content for the game. Lies of P draws inspiration from the Italian classic The Adventures of Pinocchio but makes it very unsuitable for children. Players take control of P, a humanoid fighting its way through the city of Krat while facing off against other biomechanical foes.

It borrows many mechanics from FromSoftware games, such as the use of a prosthetic from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and the fast-paced combat of Bloodborne. But it also offers enough variation to not feel like a clone with no soul. The Souls community also welcomed the game with open arms, giving it the same speedrun and challenge run treatment as so many other FromSoftware games.

Not only will fans be getting DLC for Lies of P this year, but a sequel is also expected to be in the works. The end scenes of the game did leave hints that a new installment would be announced.

The Elden Ring DLC Is Still a Few Months Away

Shadow of the Erdtree is slated to launch in the latter half of June, so there are a good four months until we can jump into more Elden Ring content. It’s confirmed the new DLC will be one of the largest expansions created by FromSoftware, with the map expected to be as big as Limgrave from the base game.

We got a glimpse of the new DLC content in the recent trailer, as well as a new character, Messmer, who will be the antagonist. The Elden Ring DLC is going to focus on the story of Miquella and feature the Land of Shadow. We also saw a young Queen Renala, so there’s a good chance we will be traveling back in time in this expansion.

With Lies of P and Elden Ring both releasing DLC this year, which one are you more excited about? Let us know in the comments below!

Gaming was one of my earliest passions then along came writing, and here we are. I've been in the content creation space for several years now and as gamer for even longer. From understanding the complexities of a multilayer narrative to the simply joy of "big gun go boom", my goal is to capture all the emotions in between and put them down in an engaging manner.
