Games keep on getting larger with every passing moment, and as they get larger, the chances of them facing some minor issues get more and more likely. No matter how hard a developer works on their game, sometimes it’s just not enough. This theory is as relevant for Epic Games’ Fortnite as it is for any other game. This game often gets new content, and sometimes those updates can cause small, unharmful problems.

One such unharmful glitch appeared recently with the recent version of Fortnite. This game is very well known for catering to fans of numerous third-party franchises; from God of War‘s Kratos to Metal Gear Solid’s Snake, everyone has been part of this game at some point. Goku has been a part of this game too for a while, but recently Goku changed, in a very unusual manner!

A recent Fortnite glitch makes Goku lose his wings of Icarus!

Epic Games’ quirky Battle Royale game is an ever-changing experience. While the core of this title remains, the same players are often introduced to new equipment, characters, weapons, and even vehicles. This is necessary too, as it keeps the game feeling fresh and helps this game feel exciting.

They also give fans the option to purchase a bunch of character skins. As mentioned above, pretty much everyone is there: Iron Man, Superman, and even Batman. There are a bunch of Star Wars characters, and the best of all, there are characters from the hit manga series Dragon Ball.

No doubt the most popular of these skins is that of Goku. Fans can buy these skins and then use them in games to fight each other while looking at their favorite fictional characters. For Dragon Ball fans, this possibility of being Goku came in handy when they decided to honor Akira Toriyama, the legendary creator of this manga, who recently passed away due to a subdural hematoma.

And when they started playing as Goku in Fortnite and picked a new item called the Wings of Icarus, they were met with an incredible surprise. The wings of Icarus are a special pair of wings that allow players to fly. When players equip them, their characters have visible wings, but when Goku wears them, he has no wings.

When players took flight using those wings as Goku, he looked very close to his persona in the anime. It looked pretty awesome too, and the best part is that players did not seem to mind it. They loved this exciting coincidence.

It’s as if the game itself has decided to honor Toriyama in its own special way. Gokus are soaring through the skies of Fortnite’s island, just as the legendary creator must have imagined. There’s nothing more exciting than this.

Fans now want Epic Games to just let this interesting glitch be a part of Fortnite. To be fair, it does not have any effect on the game; it’s not as if Goku not having those wings is making him invincible; it’s just making him look incredibly cool.

The fan reaction to this glitch is nothing short of mind-blowing

Usually, fans are not so receptive when they see a glitch in a video game because glitches ruin their experience. But what happens when a glitch is just visual and does not make much of a difference? What if this visual glitch is actually somehow enhancing the game’s look? Well, fans would want it to stay.
