The Graham Norton Show has several compilations of some of the biggest celebrities sharing some of their most embarrassing stories. And the host has urged his celebrity guests to stop embarrassing themselves on his talk show.

During a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Norton discussed what it’s like being a host and Meyers complimented him for dealing with multiple guests. Further in their conversation, Norton shared how guests on his show often get competitive over sharing a funny story about themselves.

“So, if an actor tells a funny story, you can see someone seething,” he said, as he explained that the stakes get higher and higher with every next person. However, sometimes guests end up sharing “terrible stories.” And the Queen of the Universe host suggested that they should not share such stories on television.

Sometimes we do get like terrible stories, like don’t tell that on television!” he shared. Seth Meyers also acknowledged that his show does feature many such moments. Norton, however, thinks that celebrities share these stories in an attempt to “outdo each other.” However, there is still an actor who he can never get past.

One Guest Who Makes Graham Norton Nervous

When asked if he gets nervous about having some of the most popular celebrities on his show, Graham Norton shared the name that always manages to make him nervous. He shared that most of his guests get very casual once they take the stage.

However, it’s not the same with the action star Tom Cruise. He shared that there are not many people like the Mission Impossible star. “Tom Cruise is one of those people,” he said before adding, “I never get past the fact that it’s Tom Cruise. Yeah, he remains Tom Cruise throughout the interview.”

Although the actor might not get competitive with his fellow guests, Norton states that not only the audience but him along with the other guests get a “bit starry” about the action star.
