Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero does not have a specified release window yet but that hasn’t stopped fans from going gaga over it. There are a number of rumors and fan requests swirling around the game. But mostly, fans just want an update regarding the game’s release.
As far as the latest reports from various leaks and rumors are concerned, the tentative release window that the latest Budokai Tenkaichi game is aiming for is the last quarter of 2024. With the release of the game quite some time off, the community forums are abuzz with the possibilities of what might be included in the game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero To Include Frieza’s Signature Move?
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has been so far marketed as the continuation of the age-old rivalry between Goku and Vegeta. The game has also been confirmed to have the biggest roster gaming all the other Budokai Tenkaichi games. But, it is difficult to assuage fans, especially with all the absurd requests pouring in.
Will this finally happen?

However, one fan had a very valid request. Taking to Reddit, Flimsy_Inevitable337 shared their view on the upcoming Dragon Ball game having Frieza’s signature Nova Strike. This gave rise to a flurry of conversations as most fans didn’t even think of this move until the user mentioned it.
One fan commented on the post saying, “Definitely something I haven’t thought about but would be neat to have.” while another chimed in saying, “That would be tight!“. But, not all fans were as excited about the idea. While it was accepted that Nova Strike would be a good inclusion in the game, fans were concerned whether the trend of streamlining games would allow the developers to experiment with brand-new mechanics.

But this daunting revelation didn’t stop players and fans from hoping. One fan rightly said, “A man can dream“. And Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero fans are definitely dreaming of countering the epic beam fights with their Nova Stikes.
Now whether the feature actually makes it to the game is up to the developers. But everyone can agree on something, it would be a super cool move to have in the upcoming entry to the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise.
Bandai Namco Has a Lot To Deliver
With the creator of Dragon Ball Z Akira Toriyama passing away all of a sudden, the onus is on Bandai Namco to celebrate his legacy in a proper manner. This means that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero should have a seamless release and should provide fans with joy and happiness, much like Toriyama’s works did.
The game already has the opportunity to give players the option of equipping separate outfits on various characters. Add it to all the other fan requests that keep pouring in, it is quite uncertain as to what would finally make it into the game.
So far the developers have been pretty tight-lipped regarding the project’s progress but updates and rumors surface every now and then with new features like dynamic weather, speed vs. power rivalry, etc. being showcased.
What do you think of Nova Strike being included in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero? Do you think the game mechanics will allow for it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
