Bandai Namco has revealed the long-anticipated gameplay trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The gameplay shows all the things that make the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise so great for fans. The fast-phased battle system is even faster than in the original games, making it all about reducing the distance between opponents.

Bandai Namco first introduced Budokai Tenkaichi 4 last year with a quick trailer that said that this fan-favorite franchise was back. Then this title adopted the original Japanese name, becoming Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. Fans were very surprised by the revelation that these particular games were coming back. Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco said that this would be one of the most ambitious Dragon Ball games ever. This new gameplay has shown how these are not just empty words from the company.

This Bandai Namco showcase presented a full battle between Goku and Vegeta, showing the full capacity of the game. In the first place, the scenario was giant, and fans were happy to see that it was fully destructible. But the best thing about this gameplay was the speed of the battle, which was a lot faster than any other Dragon Ball game.

With the use of teleportation and dashes, the battles will be quick and full of frenetic techniques and punches. Quick-time events will also be a part of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero experience.

Regarding the gameplay, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, aside from the speed of the battles, you can also reject several beam attacks with the right timing given the battle any kind of new features to make it really more interesting. Transformations will be part of the battle; once you fill the bar, you can transform depending on your character. The gameplay showed both characters going super saiyan blue.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has no release date at the moment, and Bandai Namco has not given any details about when the game will be available. Rumors suggest that Bandai Namco plans to release the game either next year or at the end of 2024. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will be available for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
