Many years have passed since the last entry of what is perhaps one of the best sagas of games based on Dragon Ball. Budokai Tenkaichi is finally back, and it could be the ultimate version of these titles. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has just released amazing gameplay that makes the fans hype go through the roof.
Bandai Namco also introduced new playable characters with names like Master Roshi, Trunks, Hit, and many more. But fans are very disappointed about one particular thing regarding Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero; the game still has no release date.
Bandai Namco had disappointed fans by not revealing the release date of Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero
Last year, Bandai Namco revealed the first trailer for Budokai Tenkaichi 4, the new entry in this fan-favorite saga. Later, the game changed its name to the original Japanese name, and Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is now the most anticipated game among anime fans.
According to Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco, this will be the best Dragon Ball game in years and the definitive version of this particular franchise.
In the revealed gameplay, the trailer shows a complete fight between Goku and Vegeta, with fast-phased combat and beautiful stylized art that follows the Dragon Ball Super design of the characters.
The combat included transformations, special techniques, quick-time events, and all the other things that this franchise has done so well in the past, and this new version has done justice to the original games. Following the gameplay, a new trailer featuring a larger cast of characters emerged.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has blown the minds of the fans with new gameplay
But fans are not entirely happy about this reveal, especially with the lack of a release date that the new trailer had. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero responsible had not made any mention of when this long-anticipated game would be available. Some rumors indicate that Bandai Namco wants to launch this game in the first months of 2025; other rumors say that the game will launch sometime this year.
We may not know the release date, and whilst fans expected one to be announced today in the latest gameplay trailer, it’s not surprising it wasn’t. Don’t lose faith though, because Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has shown that it will have more than 160 playable characters, among the newly revealed fighters were ones like Trunks, Roshi, Hit, Butter, and even Broly.
What are your thoughts about Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero not having a release date? Will it be released this year?
