The upcoming game from Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, is one of the most highly anticipated titles in the community. The trailers and gameplay showcase of the game have got fans excited for what they’re expecting to be the best DBZ game. The game will bring back the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series.
Sparking Zero will feature a massive roster, bigger than BT3, including transformations. The game does not have a release date yet, but players expect it will be released later this year, and it will probably be getting content for a long time as Bandai will seemingly support the game post-launch as per the recent additions in Xenoverse 2.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Gets Two New Transformations
Xenoverse 2 was launched eight years ago, in 2016, and since then, the game has received continuous support from Dimps and Bandai Namco. The game has received free updates and DLC that have added new characters and transformations, keeping players hooked to date.
The Future Saga expansion update for the game was recently announced, with new content for the game. The expansion follows Fu and his time distortions, which have resulted in What If sagas and exciting battles. As part of this Saga expansion, two new transformations for Goku Black and Vegeta will be added.

The transformations are Goku Black Super Saiyan Rose (Ultra Super-Villain) and Vegeta Super Saiyan God (Ultra Super-Villain). These are the upgraded versions of their Supervillain forms, and fans are excited to see them in-game. The addition of two new unique forms after eight years is a big feat and suggests that the developers will be giving the same treatment to Sparking Zero.
Sparking Zero Will Have the Best Roster Ever in a DBZ Game
Sparking Zero is set to feature a 164-character roster, with several new characters already confirmed, such as Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue forms for Goku and Vegeta, and other Super characters such as Jiren, Trunks, and Bergamo.
The Giant characters are also making their way to the game, and seeing how Bandai Namco is supporting Xenoverse 2 this long after its release, Sparking Zero will also get new content post-launch. Characters like Ultra Instinct Goku, Beast Gohan, and Orange Piccolo may get added, and character variations may also be featured.
Several other popular characters have also been briefly seen in the trailers released so far, including Android 17 (Super), Broly (Super), Wrathful, Future Trunks (Z) and Super Saiyan, Future Trunks (Super) and Super Saiyan, Hercule, Yamcha, and others. The game may also bring supporting characters like Videl, Hit, and Kefla post-launch, as well as others such as Ribrianne and more.
With more and more characters joining the roster and an amazing new addition of features like Skill Count Meter and Ki systems, the game will be more exciting and enjoyable for players who have been waiting for an authentic DBZ experience for years.
