It allows players with the Trickster+ playstyle to perform a skill move that bizarrely attaches the ball to the back of their leg, enabling them to effortlessly charge into the opponent’s goal with no means of defense. Bugs achieved an 18-2 record from his 20 matches and received rewards as usual, but his intentions are clear. He stated:
“If it takes my account being banned to save the game I love, the game I fell in love with, I’ll fall on my sword for y’all. For the greater good. I’m not promoting, I’m exposing. You can’t have people playing this game right now. I don’t expect everyone to understand.”
EA Sports FC players are now demanding that EA Sports take punitive actions against those who have used the glitch to win matches and that rewards be withheld. The frustration is palpable among the player base.
This technical issue arises at a time when EA Sports FC is facing both triumphs and obstacles. According to reports, from GI.biz, the initial sales of EA Sports FC have dropped by 10% compared to the launch sales of FIFA 23 in Europe year. It’s important to mention that FIFA 23 was a success for EA. FC 24s launch sales still show a decrease of 3.7% compared to FIFA 22 in 2021. EA had anticipated this decline since the franchise underwent a name change this year following the breakdown of EA Sports partnership, with FIFA.
Despite these challenges, EA announced that FC 24 had attracted over 11.3 million players worldwide in its first week, with new players increasing by nearly 20% year-over-year. The game continues to perform well, particularly in the UK.
Apart from the Trickster glitch, EA Sports FC has become involved in a controversy surrounding microtransactions. The community was taken aback by the availability of a $30 Ultimate Team pack before the game’s release.
