One Piece fans have been wondering what the One Piece treasure is for a long time. Since the beginning of the story, it has been stated that whoever finds the One Piece treasure that previously belonged to Gol D. Roger, the former King of the Pirates, will become the new King of the Pirates and rule the sea.

However, after almost 30 years, no one even has a hint of what the treasure could be. While Monkey D. Luffy, the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates has met the former members of Roger Pirates, he refuses to take the easy way to find out what the treasure is. He believes he will become the King of the Pirates on his terms.

But fans can’t wait for so long. Therefore they have been developing theories about what could be the One Piece treasure. Over the years, fans have created multiple theories about the One Piece treasure, but the most interesting among them are the outer space theories that point to One Piece’s connection with outer space.

One Piece Theory States The Treasure is A Spaceship

According to a theory that surfaced on the internet a few years ago through unknown sources, stated that One Piece could be a rocketship that transports Luffy and the Straw Hats to their next adventure, which will be in space once they have fully explored the waters. The idea for this notion came from one of Enel’s cover stories, Enel’s Great Space Mission, which chronicles his exploits after landing on the moon.

The cover story is the second longest story in the series, spanning six volumes and 38 chapters. In it, Enel finds, in an underground location beneath the moon, remnants of a past civilization. The artwork displayed on the walls of this prehistoric town explains that the Sky people originated on the moon before migrating to the world of One Piece due to a lack of resources.

Although the theory seems plausible, there is no evidence to support it, thus making it an unlikely outcome. However, this is not the first outer space theory that fans have theorized about the One Piece treasure, there have been a few more of these.

Eiichiro Oda Might Regret The One Piece Outer Space Theory

As One Piece fans know, Eiichiro Oda loves foreshadowing hints and interesting facts about the storyline and the characters in the One Piece story. However, no mangaka would like it if fans could guess the ending of the story by the hints dropped by the creator.

If the theories about outer space are proven to be true, Oda might have to blame himself as he not only foreshadowed it in the original series but also developed an original cover story around the space civilization featuring one of the most important antagonists of One Piece. He might have made it more obvious than he thought, thus spoiling the ending for One Piece fans.

Although looking at the history of Oda-san and the twists he has introduced in the story, it is unlikely that he will foreshadow such a big spoiler so easily. He has worked hard for One Piece and will make sure it gets the ending it deserves, which will definitely shock the entire anime industry.
