However, it won’t be as easy as every other time. The Five Elders are one of the strongest groups in The World Government, only below Imu. Their power and strength is something that has never been seen before. Although Luffy can handle himself against the Five Elders, it won’t be for long as any minute now he might have to come out of Gear 5 mode.

Still, there is a chance that Luffy might be able to beat at least one of The Five Elders. He might have the strength left to handle one of them and there is a theory that suggests that the weakest one of the Five Elders is bound to fall in the current arc.

Who is The Weakest Gorosei Among The Five Elders

According to a theory posted by Mr Morj on YouTube, the sequence of the planets that the Five Elders symbolize corresponds to their hierarchy of strength. Mercury is the first planet, Venus is second, Mars is third (after Earth), Jupiter is fourth, and Saturn is fifth. Oda provides unambiguous number rankings for some subordinate groups, such as cp9 or Baroque Works Agents.

However, with other subordinate groups, Eiichio Oda employs a gentler approach based on implicit hierarchy. For example, the strength hierarchy of King, Queen, and Jack is based on the card rankings that correspond to their respective names. Even the Doflamingo chairs Pika, Diamante, and Trebol adhere to the hierarchy of card suits, with spades ranking higher than diamonds and clubs.

While this does not imply that the Five Elders’ planetary positions follow the same rule, it is quite likely that Oda gave them their names based on relative strength. Saturn would seem to be the weakest because he is the first one the Straw Hat Pirates have faced, and he is almost certainly the first to fall.

Saturn Will Be Defeated By The Straw Hat Pirates in Egghead

Saturn’s plot is intimately connected to the central narrative of Egghead Island, unlike the stories of the other Five Elders. Saturn eventually becomes the major antagonist in Kuma, Bonnie, and Vegapunk’s journey. He is responsible for most of the pain these characters have experienced throughout their lives.

Since he has acted as the main antagonist for the entirety of this arc, it feels more appropriate and significant for him to lose on Egghead Island than it would in a later story. From a plot perspective, this is the moment when Saturn is supposed to finally suffer punishment for the wrongdoings he has done for all these years.

Fans have already witnessed some level of rigidity between Luffy and Saturn, so it would make sense to see this particular matchup at least play out to its conclusion in this arc. What’s most intriguing is that defeating Saturn early on would be ideal because according to the theory, Saturn is the weakest of the Five Elders.
