Sylvester Stallone is one of the biggest actors in the Hollywood industry. He has created a career for himself that is surely to leave a mark on the world. Whether he continues to act in decades to come, he has established himself as an individual fit to be termed iconic. In a career as vast and talented as his own, range is not something he was short of.
Although now his name is one that is common to every household, no actor starts with fame as great as such. He too had to struggle when he first entered the Hollywood industry. From lack of projects to barren opportunities, he was surrounded by nothing but tumbleweeds. In order to survive in the industry, he even resorted to doing an adult film.
Sylvester Stallone was Part of an Adult Film
As revealed by Far Out Magazine, via Style, Sylvester Stallone was put in a rather difficult position during the beginning of his career. Before he grew to fame because of the role of Rocky Balboa, he was a struggling actor. Getting roles was more than difficult and things were nowhere near as fine and dandy as he wanted them to be.
“It was either do that movie or rob someone because I was at the end – at the very end – of my rope.”
He was at the lowest point of his career, one he could not get back up from no matter how many roles he was trying for. He was then offered a role in an adult film. Stallone stated that the only two options he had were either to do an adult film or rob someone else. He chose to do the film, The Party at Kitty and Stud’s. The film was made in 1970, one that was also regarded as his first big role.
Sylvester Stallone’s Movie Got a Re-release
Sylvester Stallone revealed via Lad Bible that he was only paid $200 in 1970 to do the adult film. Only years later he made a dashing debut as Rocky Balboa that completely changed his life. He was living under a bus station and his situation was worse for wear. He needed to do something, anything to get out of his tiring situation.
After his famed success, the adult film was released once again under the name, The Italian. The actor only grew in his career from then on, starring not only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also adorning the characters of more than one iconic role.
