Another of the PlayStation exclusives from this year is about to come out: Rise of the Ronin, from the creators of the Nioh franchise. This title has all the mechanics that Nioh did perfectly, adding the experience of the studio inspired by other games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Ghost of Tsushima is another game that has Japan as its main setting. But as always, Elden Ring fans did the main mechanics from Rise of the Ronin first in a very special build. The Blackflame Bushido build has the Naginata as the main weapon.
Elden Ring did first what Rise of the Ronin was trying to do, and Ghost of Tsushima accomplished it perfectly
Team Ninja is about to launch its new exclusive title for the PlayStation 5, Rise of the Ronin. This title is set during the last years of the Edo period, at the end of the 19th century. The game will have an occidental influence as the main subject in the story, with a mix of fire guns and classic Japanese weapons like the Naginata or the Katana. Ghost of Tsushima has also done something very similar in the past, but after all this, the original user of the Naginata is Elden Ring with one specific build.
This build is called the Blackflame Bushido and has the cross-naginata, or classic naginata, as the main weapon. The principal stats of the Blackflame Bushido build are dexterity and faith. By using a large amount of spells and skills, this build concentrates on making a bleeding effect on enemies and mid-range attacks.
Secondary stats are vigor and mind. The Phantom Slash will be the main skill to use; this gives you like four attacks in a matter of three seconds, thanks to the shadow strike that this skill generates.
The naginata is a very powerful weapon on Elden Ring
To complete this build, you need the following skills: Phantom Slash, Sword Dance, or Double Slash. As for spells, you will need this: Golden Vow, Black Flame, Bloodflame Blade, Black Flame Blade, Scouring Black Flame, Black Flame Ritual, and Black Flame’s Protection.
Aside from the Naginata, you will need the Godslayer’s Seal. The armor has to be the White Mask and the White Reed Set. Any class can be used with this build.
The talismans required are: the Shard of Alexander, Radagon’s Soreseal, Godfrey Icon, and the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. Elden Ring will launch its new DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, in June. This build will undergo a very important test to see if it is still relevant to the new content.
