Being a couple is not easy, but when it comes to Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, they make it seem utterly easy. The couple set the bar high, as even after 16 years of togetherness, they still give us butterflies in the tummy, as they are just so cute together. However, the two would often indulge in pranks to keep the spark alive and such was the case when they decided to prank Jimmy Kimmel, as part of their Christmas tradition.
However, the prank went horribly wrong when Emily Blunt was present at the show, and revealed how they wanted to top the tradition when they gift-wrapped Jimmy Kimmel’s car. John Krasinski decided to then drive the car, leading to Kimmel’s McLaren becoming a total wreck.
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt Exceeded The Limits of Christmas Pranks
During an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host explained how he is close friends with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski; and how they have a bizarre tradition of pulling Christmas pranks on each other. Kimmel shared how Blunt and Krasinski once broke into Kimmel’s house and put in a Santa and snowman display, and how they put a zombie in his garden. To retaliate Kimmel put a 26-foot inflatable reindeer filled with p*op, but he pushed the limits next year when he gift-wrapped their entire house, bringing the Christmas spirit.
Kimmel thought gift wrapping the house would end the tradition, but he was mistaken, as he was pranked not once, but twice, each time amplifying the practical jokes. Nevertheless, the tradition is done for the following year, and invited Emily Blunt to his show, where she asked the host to “take a quick look, live at your car.” Kimmy was surprised to see John Krasinski dressed up as Santa Claus, and he shared how he’ll take his McLaren to give away most of his belongings.
The Office actor stepped inside the gift-wrapped car and stepped on the accelerator hitting two obstacles, which ended by a piano being dropped on the car. Kimmel was too stunned to speak and asked Blunt, “How much money did it cost!” He explained the act as “ridiculous.” Emily Blunt laughed at their actions and said,
“It’s pretty much the best prank ever. I don’t know when we stop though, I don’t know how we put a cap on this. We’re going to keep doing it till we’re dead.”
Meanwhile, Krasinski stepped out screaming “We’re good. We’re good, I’m alright.” The host was surprised and wondered if he would be pranked anymore for the festive season. Blunt assured that they were done for the year, and they would strike again next year.
Emily Blunt Would Go Back To Her Wedding Day To Change One Small Decision
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski decided to tie the know on 10 July 2010 at George Clooney’s estate in Lake Como, Italy. The couple got married in a private ceremony with close friends and family. However, the actress had only one regret from her memorable day. During an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden via E! News, Blunt confessed that she had a spray tan, which was a bad decision, and if given an opportunity, she would change that.
“I got a bad spray tan, and I would probably change that. I look at the pictures and it just has an orange hue that is unnatural to normal skin color.”
The actress added, she often wonders why she decided to save pennies on her bridal look, as she looked like a seeping orange.
“It was a do-it-yourself—why was I on a budget on my wedding day? Why?” she lamented. “It was a bit patchy. It stinks! And it was a very hot day, so if you sweat and you have a spray tan—wearing white. Just seeping orange. It was terrible.”
Though she would like to change the decision on her bridal look, she can’t say the same about her decision to marry John Krasinski as the couple has set the bar pretty high.
