The actress revealed in the Reign with Josh Smith podcast while promoting Dune: Part Two that she had been screamed at by a prominent actor in one of her early films. Rebecca Ferguson responded with this anecdote when host Josh Smith asked her when she felt proud of using her ‘voice’ to stand up for herself. She said,

“I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star…I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out…This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with?'”

Ferguson got a wave of support from the film industry and fans for this incident, with her Hercules co-star Dwayne Johnson commenting in support on X (formerly Twitter) and saying that he wanted to find out who did it.
