Escape from Tarkov, the multiplayer tactical first-person shooter from Battlestate Games has been the talk of the FPS community since the developer announced a $250 Unheard Edition of the game with an exclusive PvE mode and other items for the players who would purchase the new bundle.
The developer saw a lot of backlash after this and tried to calm things down with several explanations; However, it lost all the trust and goodwill the fans had. The developer may have thought the controversy was a thing of the past, but one fan has something else that may worry it.
Escape From Tarkov Fan Shares ‘Volumes’ About the FPS Developer
Escape from Tarkov fan and Reddit user Linezman22 took to the Escape from Tarkov subreddit and shared a post titled “EscapeFromTarkov/BattleStateGames has hideously bad support,” talking about the state of the developer’s support to the players.
The player shared their experience with the developer support as they wanted to change their email after it was leaked online. They said that they were able to change the email registered with most companies and 50+ accounts.
However, the process to change it with Battlestate Games has been the “most painful by far.” The player said that the support request to update the email has been open for “almost 3 weeks,” but nothing substantial has come out of it yet.

Linezman22 said that they would also share the support transcript once the email is updated, but for now, they want to warn players about this. They said that there is no option to change the email and that players need to contact support if they wish to change it but they were denied.
They added that they had to provide a link to their country’s law under which a company is obligated to change the email of the customer and then were able to get the support take note of their case but it was only the beginning of the more struggles.
There Is No Proper Support Department for Escape From Tarkov Fans
Linezman22 further mentioned that the company wanted them to bring several pieces of information to get the email, including screenshots of the pre-order purchase receipts, the email address used to create the account, login names, and all game nicknames used over the years.
The player said that they bought the game seven years ago and that these demands were “over the top.” They said that they tracked all the details and submitted them, but the developer support asked for an email from a “big tech company like Gmail” as they submitted a custom domain, which was refused.
The player said that they tried to create another email address on their domain, were successful, and can purchase the game, proving that the company has been lying to them. They said that they are not able to trust this company and warned others as well.
Other players have alleged that the company does not have dedicated support and uses a skeleton crew support and this has been known for a while. What are your thoughts about this allegation on Escape from Tarkov developer? Let us know in the comments.
