Fury of the Gods and Blue Beetle‘s lifetime box office collection. The company that owns the music and entertainment arena, Sphere Entertainment, revealed the arena’s earnings between October 2023 and December 2023.
Thanks to The Sphere Experience, shows/events, and advertisements, the Sphere has generated roughly $167.8 million in this mentioned period. Thanks to its success, the company’s chairman and CEO James Dolan plans to open more arenas like these worldwide. The Sphere has attracted a lot of attention on social media but that only helped in making the arena more popular around the world.
The Sphere made more money than Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Blue Beetle
The music and entertainment arena, Sphere, is located in Paradise, Nevada, United States, east of the Las Vegas Strip and began its operations on September 29, 2023, with Irish rock band U2 beginning a 40-show residency called U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere. As per News3 Las Vegas, Sphere Entertainment released its quarterly earnings that reveal the arena’s generated revenue in October, November, and December 2023.
As per the data, the Sphere generated a profit of $167.8 million for the company, which is much more than Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Blue Beetle box office collections, which were $134 million and $130.8 million respectively. The revenue comes from The Sphere Experience, shows/events, sponsorship, and advertising.

The 366 feet (112 m) high and 516 feet (157 m) wide Sphere, which is also the most expensive entertainment venue built in Las Vegas, is an 18,600-seat auditorium known for its immersive video and audio capabilities. All this is possible due to a 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen, speakers with beamforming and wave field synthesis technologies, and 4D physical effects.
As per ReviewJournal, the initial cost of the project was $1.2 billion but due to the 2021-2023 global supply chain crisis and the 2021-2022 inflation surge, the final cost came out to be $2.3 billion. So far, only U2 has performed at the venue but rock bands Phish and Dead & Company will perform at the venue this year.
Many events such as the 2024 NHL Entry Draft and a UFC event will take place at the arena this year. The company’s chairman and CEO, James Dolan, has big plans to create other Sphere venues like this around the world.
