Rockstar Games made a GTA 6 announcement and it opened the floodgates of speculation and predictions everywhere. Rumors and leaks have been predicting everything from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title‘s soundtrack, the multiplayer experience, and the game’s protagonists. A fan has now gone the length of analyzing the game’s map and its surrounding areas from all the leaks so far.
Since Florida is speculated to feature in the game, a GTA fan from Florida has gone the extra mile to comb over leaked content and tried to link it to actual places in his city and list down the places that might feature in the game.
GTA Fan From Florida Decodes Leaked GTA 6 Footage, Connects Several Locations in Florida
The post contains no direct links to the leaked content that contained pre-alpha footage from the early days of GTA 6 development from Rockstar Games but is linked to the leaked content. A GTA fan from Florida has posted on Reddit about the possible locations that might appear in the upcoming GTA title.
The Redditor has based the locations after having gone over all the pre-alpha footage that was leaked last year and checked for as many clues as possible, linking places depicted in the footage to actual places in his city.
The Redditor, with the ID u/Healthy_Bandicoot849, starts by mentioning the first clip from the leaked footage where a female playable character is seen standing near a green bench on the Ocean Drive boardwalk. He goes on to mention that the place depicted looks similar to Miami Beach and GTA 5‘s Vespucci Beach. Miami and Ocean Beach from Florida is said to be one of the crowded areas in the city and would appeal to the younger generation if depicted right in the game.
The 7th and 8th Street on Ocean Drive is said to have a couple of retro-styled buildings while most others around the area have been modernized. The retro architecture along with all the buildings across the stretch is also speculated by the Redditor to feature in the game.
The 14th Street Public Restrooms has several tall buildings across the surroundings including the famous Shoppes of IL Villaggio commercial condo building, which is said to be at the end of the Miami Beach boardwalk. The female character in the game is also seen glitching in a part of the clip where she’s seen standing next to a lane of bicycles.
Going by this, the Redditor assumed the location could either be the Venetian Causeway, just because a glimpse of a bridge similar to the Venetian Bridge was seen or it could be the beginning of Ocean Drive from 1st Street.
Port Gellhorn Racetrack and Everglades National Park Also Listed
From the hints seen in the clip with the male character, the Redditor predicted it to be a mobile home from one of the white ghettos, similar to the ones seen around Sandy Shores in GTA 5. Another clip features a sign labeled “Energy in the Grassrivers” which is said to be the Everglades in GTA 6. The Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center which houses several animals and wildlife is what’s predicted to be the place referred by the Grassrivers sign.
The Grassrivers is also predicted to feature the game’s version of a Bigfoot, and several other easter eggs like the Bayou Nwa in Red Dead Redemption 2 which is inspired heavily by the bayous of Louisiana, Texas, and Mississipi.
There’s also a robbery shown in one of the leaked clips, which is said to take place in a shop that’s inspired by Hank’s Waffles building. Since the robbery clip shows the character entering a building, players are also expecting to enter more buildings in GTA 6.
That robbery clip is followed by the character heading out of the building to reveal a lot of mountains which Florida has very few of. The Redditor believes the location of the building and the surroundings could be based on the location of the Augusta State Medical Prison in Georgia.
The Redditor ends the post here stating there are lots of other discoveries as well which would be posted later.
GTA 6 is expected to have the biggest map compared to all previous GTA titles in the franchise. This means several real-life locations could feature alongside revamped locations from the previous titles making a comeback.
