The game’s atmosphere, boss fights, and grim and brutal setting were second to none and can’t ever be replaced by any other game. Moreover, it is perhaps one of the only PlayStation 4 exclusives that have yet to get the same treatment as almost every other exclusive from Sony.

Despite the game being one of the top-selling titles from the studio’s Soulslike lineup, Elden Ring is still the most popular IP, especially in the current scheme. The studio wouldn’t risk cannibalizing Shadow of the Erdtree‘s hype by announcing something as huge as a sequel or even a remaster for the title.
