As Marvel is deciding to expand its cinematic universe with its Thunderbolts, fans are jumping with excitement as their favorite anti-heroes like The Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, Yelena Belova, and more will be featured on the same screen. But most importantly, the comic book favorite character Sentry is set to make its MCU debut. However, Steven Yeun, who was set to play the character, has exited from the film.
But MCU fans need not worry about it, as it has been reported by an insider that Marvel has offered the role of Sentry to Lewis Pullman. The news is quite intriguing, as the actor has worked alongside Brie Larson in the popular mini series Lessons in Chemistry. Their on-screen chemistry has been immensely loved by fans, as the show has been nominated for a number of awards.

Marvel Offers The Role of Sentry in Thunderbolts to Lewis Pullman
Marvel fans were immensely excited for Thunderbolts, as it will feature Marvel’s old and iconic villains together as a team. The excitement for the upcoming film double-folded as it was shared that Sentry would make his MCU debut, and it would be played by none other than Steven Yeun, but the excitement vanished after Yeun parted ways with the project.
However, Daniel Richtman (@DanielRPK) on X tweeted that Marvel has reportedly offered the titular role to Lewis Pullman. The Press Play actor is a good decision as he starred alongside Brie Larson in the drama series Lessons in Chemistry. The miniseries left the fans mesmerized with beautiful storytelling and outstanding performances that have brought in mixed opinions from the ardent Marvel fans.

Pullman was very good in the miniseries Lessons in Chemistry with Brie Larson. It's a solid choice for the character.

Imagine his interaction with Captain Marvel. Considering him and Larson having a very good Chemistry in the show.

I mean at least he kinda looks like Sentry. Movie will likely still be dogshit unfortunately I hope I’m wrong tho

At this point I'm starting to believe that the original idea of the film does not involve Sentry in the slightest, and the director and writer are being told to include him in one way or another.
Yet the script does not look good that's why many actors are turning down the role.— Zeze Genaro (@genahonoren) January 25, 2024
WHAT IS WRONG WITH MARVEL?

The probable addition of Lewis Pullman would be fantastic as his work in Lessons in Chemistry was delightful to watch alongside Brie Larson. Why Did Steven Yeun Part Ways With Marvel’s Thunderbolts
In February 2023, reports of Steven Yeun appearing as Sentry in the MCU. However, Marvel never confirmed the casting officially. The fans are well-versed in how the franchise announces its cast. However, the joy was short-lived as The Hollywood Reporter was the first one to report a different outcome for Sentry in the MCU.
The reliable insider, Daniel Richtman, described how Yeun’s Sentry had one of the best suit-ups in the entire MCU. Sadly, the unfavorability continued for Sentry as its progress had been massively delayed due to the strikes, causing huge delays, and forcing The Walking Dead actor to walk away from the project. Even though this is not the concrete reason for the actor’s exit from the project just yet.
The news went viral after DCULeaks on X and posted an exclusive update on Steven Yeun’s exit from Thunderbolts. The news was followed by Daniel Richtman cryptically tweeting a “:(” when the rumor dropped, leading the fans to believe the dreadful news might be genuine.
