James Gunn’s Plan To Bring Back Wonder Woman

The new slate of DCU includes 10 projects but none of them had any mention of fan-favorite Diana Prince. Fans were left disappointed as the makers skipped the most famous and important character of DCU in the new slate. But it seems as though James Gunn has something different planned for Wonder Woman. In a recent series of tweets, Gunn revealed his plans to bring back Wonder Woman in an animated version.

Gunn has remained pretty active on Twitter ever since he grabbed the chair of co-CEO in DCU. Gunn has kept the fans updated regarding upcoming projects. In the particular tweet, Gunn replied to a user stating that the team is working on the animated projects of Wonder Woman as he believes that the animated version of Diana Prince is still unexplored.

“No, we’re working on getting Wonder Woman into more animation. I agree that there hasn’t been enough of her in that area and was one of the first things I brought up to the animation folks.”

It looks the fans may not be able to see Gal Gadot reprise the role of Wonder Woman any time soon as the makers are currently focused on bringing the animated version of Diana Prince. But the Red Notice star may possibly voice the animated version of Princess Diana of Themyscira. Peter Safran revealed during the release of the new slate, that the production house is looking to cast someone who can play the character on the big screen as well as voice them in the animated version.

“In animation, we’re actually trying to cast the voices of the actors we want to play them in real life.”
