2023 was a fantastic year for gamers as we received so many different titles that blew our minds, whether that be Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, Resident Evil 4 Remake, or Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. But there is one game that a few people may have forgotten, which was released in 2023 as well.

That game was Hogwarts Legacy, and even though it wasn’t a perfect game, there was a lot within the game that had Harry Potter fans blown away. However, not everyone was happy with the way the game was released, as someone on Reddit has essentially created a wishlist of what they would like to see either in an update or within Hogwarts Legacy 2.

Why Has This Gamer Chosen to Remake Hogwarts Legacy Over Games Like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Starfield?

Even though all of these games were released in 2023, they each have some complaints from the gaming community that don’t necessarily encourage a full remake, but a few minor updates could tweak their systems to improve on the gameplay that is already there.

However, Hogwarts Legacy has been released for almost an entire year and could easily have a few major updates that would entirely alter how the game plays. Whether it be adding minor features that improve what is already there or adding features that were entirely ignored from the franchise books and movies that gamers were hoping to try within the game itself,.

According to the Reddit user Jimmyhopps, there are quite a few things they would either add or improve to completely overhaul the Hogwarts Legacy experience, and from someone who has played and enjoyed the game myself, I can completely agree that these features could alter the entire gameplay experience.

If these features were eventually added to Hogwarts Legacy or to a sequel game, this would completely change the opinion that the fan base has regarding the game itself. Even though Hogwarts Legacy wasn’t a part of the Game of the Year nominations, it still had a major following in the gaming community and deserves a second chance to get these minor issues fixed.

What Changes Would Jimmyhopps and Other Reddit Users Make to Improve Hogwarts Legacy?

I want Hogwarts Legacy Remake where all RPG stuff is uncut!

To start off, let’s just say Hogwarts Legacy is in no way a bad game, as it did finally bring the gaming and Harry Potter communities something they have been asking for, whether that being able to capture magical creatures and take care of them, fighting the forces of darkness with magic, or just going back to school and being the cool kid.

There were plenty of good features within the game that made complete sense and were enjoyed by many, but there are still some features that gamers like Jimmyhopps would like to either add or change to improve the game just a little bit more.

One feature that players were asking for was more important choices within the game; this would allow players to alter the story and their character at the drop of a hat while also providing them with multiple endings to explore.

Another feature that players asked for was having large house quests for each Hogwarts house that was involved in the game. Even though there were some rather small quests that didn’t really impact or change anything, players were still hoping for more that they could explore and learn regarding their chosen houses, whether that be the history of the house or the dozens of characters that dwelled inside.

That also leads me to the next point, in which players hoped to have more interactions with the thousands of characters within the game. Understandably, this would be incredibly difficult for the developers, but having more than three school students as your friends is something many gamers would have loved within Hogwarts Legacy and are still waiting for.

Sadly, it is unlikely we will ever see any of these features come to fruition within Hogwarts Legacy, even through general updates, but we may see them in a sequel, so keep your fingers crossed. What do you think about these suggestions made by the gaming community? Do you have any other suggestions that you would like to add regarding the Hogwarts Legacy? Does Starfield also need another bite of the cherry with a remake? Let us know in the comments what you think!
