Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is currently the most talked anime and manga among anime fans. After a glorious season 2, fans were eagerly waiting for season 3. But that may not be the case anymore, with leaks of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 251 surfacing online. The manga has been going through an important phase where Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori are busy fighting the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna.
Satoru Gojo’s pupils have found a way of extracting Megumi Fushiguro from Sukuna’s grasp. As a result, the duo are progressing according to the plan. But the leaks of the latest chapter have shown that the duo’s plan has taken a massive hit, with Megumi Fushiguro refusing to return to his normal self. Fans believe Gege Akutami has already determined Megumi’s fate beforehand.
Megumi Fushiguro May Be Gone For Good
Ryomen Sukuna tricked Yuji Itadori and took over Megumi Fushiguro’s body. Since the beginning, he had taken a liking to him, mostly due to his Ten Shadows technique. After taking over his body, he continuously wreaked havoc throughout the Culling Games. He killed Satoru Gojo, Kashimo Hajime, and most importantly Megumi’s sister Tsumiki, who was possessed by Yorozu. Sukuna purposely killed Yorozu using Megumi’s techniques to sink his heart into despair.

It is a way of killing Megumi’s soul. But still, he was alive, and his friends tried their best to bring him back. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 251 leaks showed Yuji managed to reach Megumi’s soul, but he did not want to live anymore. Having lost his close ones, he had no will to continue living. It might require Yuji more than just persuasion to bring him back.
But considering his current state, it is not looking good, and there might not be any point of return from there. The manga panel said that he has lost his will to live. Gege Akutami may have already planned out Megumi Fushiguro’s fate. Since the first episode of Jujutsu Kaisen, Megumi is portrayed to be a selfless person. He is willing to sacrifice himself to save others. Even during Jujutsu Kaisen episode 1, he was ready to summon Divine General Mahoraga when Yuji ate Sukuna’s finger. The same thing happened during the Shibuya incident arc when he summoned Mahoraga to stop Sukuna’s rampage.
Gege Akutami has given the fans several hints that the Ten Shadow user will not have a happy ending. But fans often rejected the idea because his character could have been written better with more details given to his relationships with Satoru Gojo, Toji Fushiguro, Tsumiki, etc. He is still an unexplored character.
