Genshin Impact’s World Level system is something HoYoverse is proud of. Designed to provide an RPG-esque progress, players reach the next World Level through Adventure Ranks increase. Adventure Ranks are done through challenges and quests players face increasing challenges and quests.
Each new World Level offers rewards that ensure the player can continue playing the game and easily resolve the next set of challenges. However, according to recent Genshin Impact leaks, WL9 doesn’t bring valuable rewards. This has sparked rage within the community and are calling for the developers to reconsider the reward structure and offer better rewards.
Genshin Impact WL9 Is a No Match in Disappointment
What once was a cornerstone to HoYoverse’s action RPG has come to a design flaw as players now rarely do Ascension Quests and make WL progress. This is about to become an even rarer occurrence as we near the Genshin Impact 5.0 release.
WL9 will be a no match in disappointment as the recent leaks from the Genshin Impact reveal that reaching the prestigious milestone will offer a meager reward of just 100 Primogems and two Acquaint Fates.

This has put a spin on previous Ascension Quests as there will be no Mystic Enhancement Ore as a reward in the quest to reach WL9. Nevertheless, these are still just leaks, and remains to be seen whether HoYoverse changes the rewards for completing the next Ascension Quest.
Fans are Raging Online About Rewards for Reaching WL9
The abysmal rewards for reaching the new World Level have players fuming online. It seems they were expecting much more from the new Ascension Quest, but some have also expected this to happen as HoYoverse tends to play down rewards from time to time.

More people united to share how bad the rewards are, with one player saying that he has been at level 60 for several years and that there won’t be any rewards when the update rolls out.

The leaks also reveal 50,000 Mora as part of the reward package for reaching WL9 but this only adds insult to injury. 50,000 Mora is a rather pitiful reward in the grand scheme such as Genshin Impact at this level. When compared to other Ascension Quests, this is the lowest mark, and the previous WL8 rewarded players with 150,000 Mora.
Nevertheless, for now, these are just leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt. Players can only hope that HoYoverse listens to the outrage of the community and ups the rewards.
