The actress shared a now-deleted post on social media implying that being a Republican today is like being a Jew during the Holocaust. Soon, Lucasfilm and Disney terminated Gina Carano, as per THR, and noted, “Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future”. Further, even UTA dropped Carano as a client, as confirmed by the agency spokesperson.

As per THR reports, Gina Carano’s complaint was filed on Tuesday in California federal court, where she alleged that she was fired for voicing right-wing opinions on social media. Further, according to her lawsuit, the actress sought Disney and Lucasfilm to hire her back and recast her.

Further, it has been noted that Elon Musk and X are standing by Gina Carano and have promised to support her lawsuit. Musk backed Carano based on X’s legal bill for users that claim that anyone who is discriminated against due to their activity on his platform, will be funded by X to file a lawsuit.

According to X’s head of business operations Joe Benarroch, he noted the reason behind Elon Musk’s support for Gina Carano. Further, sharing a statement via THR, Benarroch claimed, “As a sign of X Corp’s commitment to free speech, we’re proud to provide financial support for Gina Carano’s lawsuit, empowering her to seek vindication of her free speech rights on X and the ability to work without bullying, harassment, or discrimination.”

Meanwhile, netizens and fans of Gina Carano on X, are trying to understand the meaning behind her lawsuit. Some are claiming that the actress should simply file a lawsuit, take the money and leave; while others are claiming that it doesn’t look good on a resume that states, “I sued my former employer”.
