What did Peyton Reed Say about the Absence of Supporting characters in Ant-Man 3?

During an exclusive interview with Insider, Peyton Reed who has directed all the Ant-Man films commented on the absence of Michael Peña, and David Dastmalchian’s absence from Ant-Man 3.

Luis in Ant-Man 2

He explained that there were ‘no versions’ of the film had Luis in it because the third movie would kick start the multiverse saga and therefore the film would have only relevant characters in the film and had to take the hard decision of letting go stories he wouldn’t like in the movie.

“We obviously have our Lang, van Dyne and Pym family, but then we also introduced Kang, MODOK and all of our Freedom Fighter characters. So we had to make decisions early on about what stories we could tell and what stories we couldn’t tell.”
