Exclusivity is a big aspect when it comes to console wars. While PlayStation fans are exempted from Starfield, Forza Horizon 5, and many more, there are games like Uncharted, Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, and many more that Xbox fans can only enjoy by watching the gameplay videos. However, tables might be turning over our heads very soon.

With a recent rumor, it is quite possible that Xbox fans might soon see the famous action-adventure title God of War on their platform. Another aspect that has given this more credibility is the idea of introducing third-party stores like Steam and Epic Games Stores on Xbox by the boss himself. Spencer’s concept of bringing Steam and Epic Games titles is quite fascinating, but right now is very far from reality.

If it still becomes a reality, there surely will be a catch. As of now, both Geforce Now and MAC support both Steam and Epic Games Store. But in both scenarios, incompatible titles are blocked. That means, it’s not obvious that you will be able to play PlayStation titles on Xbox, even if several third-party stores appear on the console.

In the historic podcast held in February, we saw a revolution from the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer himself. He announced four Xbox exclusive titles to go cross platform. This is a very brave and significant step from the company. Initially, it was thought that this decision was going to backfire, but it absolutely didn’t.

One of those four titles, Sea of Thieves, rose to the No. 1 rank in terms of most pre-orders on the PlayStation Store. Spencer also stated that this decision was solely taken for the long-term development of the company.

Not only God of War, there is also a popular title rumored to be coming to Xbox, which is Helldivers 2. In this regard, here’s what Spencer had to say:

I don’t think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform.
