The game was released exclusively on Steam on April 30 and has already started garnering acclaim from players. However, there has been a major allegation against the game, which might blow your mind.

Recently, a designer named Simon Mercuzot has made some serious allegations that Gray Zone Warfare has used his work without his authorization. Mercuzot has a profile on ArtStation, where he regularly updates his work on designing weapons for several games. He is basically a freelance 3D weapon artist at Wardog Studios. He also has a couple of years of experience designing weapons for two very big gaming titles; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Hunt: Showdown.

Now coming to the allegations, Mercuzot has stated that he has some of his works saved under a tutorial license on Art Station, and according to him, his work “is straight up used in a game!” As per this man, Gray Zone Warfare is allegedly using his smart material. On his material, the developers have allegedly used their own mesh, which resulted in a crooked and unsatisfactory design, as per him.

However, the designer has stated that even if they have bought the license for the product, it doesn’t give them any right to redistribute it for any commercial project.

Controversy Regarding Escape from Tarkov

Fans are not taking Escape from Tarkov The Unheard Edition in a good way.

Video game controversies are nothing new to the community. Gray Zone Warfare is a game that has just launched and is already facing controversy. One recent controversy that has been spicing up things has been Escape from Tarkov The Unheard Edition.

This new DLC pack costs a whopping $250, and has a PvE game mode along with features like increased fence standing and expanded PMC pockets, elements that give players an extra edge in the battlefield.
Now those who bought the Edge of Darkness edition of Escape from Tarkov for $150 which came with the Season Pass and was promised to have all the subsequent DLCs. That’s why players have to spend another $250 after already spending $150 and this is where the whole controversy started. Thankfully, the Escape from Tarkov devs look like they’ve bowed to community pressure, recently announcing the stepping back of the exclusivity to a degree, but still allowing the Unheard Edition to be available.
It is very important to remember that these allegations from Simon Mercuzot have not yet received any concrete corroboration and there has been no official response put out by Madfinger Games at the time of writing.
