Since the GTA 6 trailer dropped at the start of the month, the excitement level amongst fans has ramped up exponentially, and understandably so. This is a game that fans have long been crying out for and a decade after the launch of the last title, GTA 5, fans got their first glimpse at the long-awaited game which properly blew people’s minds, to put it mildly.
So, with the expectation of such a hugely awaited game, comes the accompanying fan theories which are part and parcel of any new game these days. Some of which are truer to the source material than others. However, one theory that has appeared online recently may be seen by many as laughable.
What is the Latest GTA 6 Theory that Borders on the Ridiculous?
According to one Reddit user, they have claimed to have worked out when the next trailer will be appearing for the next instalment in the popular franchise. The user going by u/27guy on Reddit posted his theory alongside an image showing the enlarged portion of the car that the main protagonists sit on for the promotional image.
Using Braille and the positioning of the bullet holes in the car, which can be seen in the promotional image released alongside the official trailer, 27guy has worked out the release date of the next trailer for the upcoming Rockstar game. Or so he thinks.
Pointing out the bullet holes and an accompanying braille sheet, the Reddit user surmises that the positioning of these relate to ‘1‘, ‘9‘ and ‘more‘ from the Braille table and this would confirm that the next trailer will be in September of 2024. The suggestion that it would 9 months before a new trailer would be released seems highly unlikely given how much hype there is for the game.
Given that the game is scheduled for a 2025 release, albeit this is rumored to be towards the tail-end of that year, we’re not sure how happy GTA fans would be having to go cold-turkey in having to wait until September for a new trailer. So, unfortunately, this theory looks like nothing more than clutching at straws.
Whilst 27guy is suggesting that there is one more trailer in September before launch, other fans have suggested that the 6 bullet holes simply relate to the title of the game. GTA 6 is on schedule to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, video game launches ever. However, it appears that waiting too long for a game can have a detrimental effect on some fans judging by this latest theory.

It remains to be seen whether the theory from 27guy is indeed satirical but judging by the comments on the thread, many of which can’t be posted here, questions are being raised about the mental health and stability of the OP.
Earlier in the week we reported on one fan’s deep dive into the same promotional image and by zooming in on this, they theorized that a door in the very right of the image could have given fans their first look at the map for GTA 6. The different coloring on the door alluding to the different areas of the map, however, this again remains to be confirmed.
Whilst it is always fun to have in the build-up to a new game is the varying levels of seriousness in which fan theories appear. However, with this latest theory, it appears to be more tongue-in-cheek than anything else and some may say it borders on the ridiculous. No doubt there will be many more of these between now and 2025 when fans finally get their hands on the long-awaited game.
