The death of Vegapunk has caused a big uproar in the One Piece world even though many people still don’t know about it. He was one of the most important characters in the series, and fans were eager to find out more about him for the longest time before he was finally introduced in the Egghead Island arc and created a ruckus by revealing the One Piece mysteries.
His character was limited to the Egghead Island arc as fans saw him get killed during the battle against the Five Elders and the Navy. The shocking aspect of his death was the sad fact that his own friend Admiral Borsalino Kizaru was the one who landed the final blow on him. Kizaru not only killed Vegapunk but also all the hope that One Piece fans had about Kizaru siding with the Straw Hat Pirates.
However, the recently released brief spoilers of One Piece chapter 1124 have revealed that although Kizaru followed his orders, he is too devastated by his actions. The spoilers pointed out that Kizaru got into a heated argument with Akainu over Vegapunk’s death which will melt One Piece fans’ hearts.
One Piece Spoilers Reveal Kizaru’s Condition After Killing Vegapunk
The previous One Piece plots have revealed that Kizaru and Vegapunk had a close relationship as they were friends for a long time. The two had formed a bond when they encountered Sentomaru, and Kizaru agreed to help Vegapunk with his pacifista project using his Devil Fruit abilities.
However, when he was sent on the mission to kill Vegapunk, Kizaru showed reservation for the first time against the orders given to him. He even struggled during his battles against the Straw Hat Pirates and his allies in terms of Vegapunk’s satellites and the Giants. But, it was Kizaru who struck Vegapunk with a lightning attack that resulted in his death.
Since then Kizaru was not seen in the battle for long, and now the spoilers finally reveal how sad he is after his friend’s death by his own death. According to the One Piece spoilers, Akainu contacted Kizaru and started scolding him for failing his mission.

This angered Kizaru to the point where he screamed at Akainu about killing his best friend. As he did so, tears rolled down his eyes pointing out the guilt he was feeling in doing the treacherous deed.
Can Kizaru Turn Against The World Government
Kizaru’s reaction towards Akainu’s comment about failing the Egghead mission has proved that the Admiral is genuinely feeling guilty and disgusted with the death of his friend Vegapunk. Although he was sad at first when he got the mission, his sadness has now turned into anger because of the choice he had to make.
Thus, there is a chance that Kizaru might decide to change his views on justice as he has once again seen the cruelty of the World Government, but this time it has affected him deeply. Killing his best friend is a big deal and it can very well work as a catalyst towards shifting Kizaru away from the World Government and towards a justice of his own.
One Piece fans have seen a similar thing with the former Admiral Aokiji who changed his views towards the World Government when he saw the destruction of Ohara. He was also sent to kill his friend Jaguar D. Saul, but he was unable to go on with it and slowly rendered away from the ideals of the World Government until he left them to join the Blackbeard Pirates.
