The actor immediately reacted and said, “Corny kid, right?” referencing to a comment the host allegedly made on a podcast show. In her defense, she retorted:

I did not say that; misquoted for sure. No, you did not hear me say, I said we used to make fun of the name but yeah, he is obviously killing things out here.”

All of the drama started after the 2021 episode of The Undressing Room Podcast with Eva Marcille and Dominique da Diva. Actually, it was da Diva who made the ‘corny’ comment:

I think that Michael B. Jordan is just like a nice corny guy, and I don’t mean that as a slight, right? I mean we all know that the nice corny guys treat you the best.”

Lore’l added that she made fun of Jordan back in school because of his name, and then she later acknowledged that he’s a big movie star now.

To be honest with you, we teased him all the damn time because his name was Michael Jordan, like let’s start there, and he was no Michael Jordan. And then, he also would come to school with headshot. We lived in Newark, like that’s the hood. We would make fun of him like, ‘What you gotta do with your little stupid headshots?’ and now look at him.”

The Black Panther actor clearly has never forgotten those mean comments, but he used those to improve himself and propel his career.
