David Tennant’s Eyes Return As Kilgrave In Marvel’s Jessica Jones

David Tennant, you know, the guy who played Kilgrave in Jessica Jones? Well, he’s restless to bring that baddie back to life in the Marvel Universe. Even though Kilgrave didn’t make it past season one, Tennant’s all in for a comeback as the Purple Man.

As per Coveredgeekly, during this year’s BAFTA awards, Tennant spilled the beans on the Red Carpet about hosting and which of his characters he’d like to resurrect. From Harry Potter to Doctor Who, he’s rocked a bunch of roles, but Kilgrave’s the one he’s got his eye on.

If you’ve seen Jessica Jones, you know Kilgrave was one nasty mind controller who messed with everyone, especially Ritter’s character. But even though Kilgrave got his neck snapped, Tennant’s still hopeful for a revival. Tennant said,

“I’d love to do Kilgrave again. Yeah, that would be good wouldn’t it.”

Further, he added, acknowledging Kilgrave’s demise, “I mean, he did very much get his neck broken, he was very dead.”

But Tennant’s not ruling out a return. In the Marvel Universe, dead doesn’t always mean gone for good. With the MCU diving into the Multiverse, there are loads of ways Kilgrave could make a comeback.

Could we see Kilgrave back in action? Marvel fans are on the edge of their seats, waiting for any hints about what’s next.

But it’s worth mentioning that Tennant is hinting at the return of one scary Marvel villain from Jessica Jones, where he shared some intense scenes with the 42-year-old.

Tennant played the scariest dude in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, alongside Krysten Ritter. Forget his role as Doctor Who; Kilgrave is a whole new level of bizarre. While Marvel has its fair share of bad guys like Loki and Thanos, Kilgrave tops them all in the scary department.

Here’s the deal: while those other guys are off in space, Kilgrave’s right here in New York, messing with Jessica Jones’ life in the worst way possible. He’s got this crazy power to control people’s minds, and it’s seriously chilling.

Tennant totally nailed the role. He brought Kilgrave to life in a way that really hits home, especially when it comes to showing the horrors of abuse. In an interview with MTV, Tennant explained,

“Kilgrave, he has this ability that whatever he says compels those around him to acquiesce. “what’s terrifying about him is that he can make you do whatever he wishes, and nobody has, apparently, any defense against him.”

With his killer performance, Tennant earned his spot as one of Marvel’s top villains. Fans can’t shake off Kilgrave easily; he’s become a legendary baddie in the Marvel Universe.
