Last year, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Avengers 5 writer Jeff Loveness teased that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil could be in the upcoming movie. Loveness namedropped three very interesting Marvel heroes who might join Kang, and Daredevil was one name along with Moon Knight and Hawkeye.
We have seen Cox’s Daredevil in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Phase 6 of the MCU will be topped off with two Avengers movies – Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars. After Jonathan Majors was convicted on one count of reckless assault in the third degree and one count of harassment, Marvel dropped him and thus it seems like the studio won’t mention of Kang or his variants for future projects until further notice. So, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is now simply being referred to as Avengers 5.
Kevin Feige’s Plan to Include Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in Avengers 5
The writer behind both Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Avengers 5, Jeff Loveness, teased that there could be a possible involvement of Charlie Cox as Daredevil in the Avengers 5 team, which will be the new team of Avengers taking over after the events of Endgame.
In an interview with Polygon, Jeff Loveness commented that there might be involvement of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in Avengers 5. He joked:
“I wish Hawkeye a lot of luck [against the Kangs],” he added, “I’m sure Daredevil and Moon Knight are gonna be great against those guys.”
Most of the fans have always dreamt of Charlie Cox’s involvement in those bigger crossover events. So, this comment by the writer was possibly the first hint that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Oscar Isaac’s Mark Spector could both feature in an MCU film.
Fans Have Mixed Reactions to This Approach
While some fans were eager to see Cox’s Daredevil in the next Avengers movie, others felt that this would become a mess.

Charlie Cox will return to the role of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in the Daredevil: Born Again series, which is currently being developed by directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. He’ll be joined by Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
While Avengers 5 hits theaters on May 1, 2026, Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere on Disney+ next year.
