The healthy competition between actors Pedro Pascal and Kieran Culkin has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. Pascal said that he’ll “make out” with Culkin after he managed to beat him when he won Male Actor in a Drama Series at the 2024 SAG Awards for his work as Joel in The Last of Us TV series. This was Pascal’s revenge as Culkin managed to beat Pascal at the Golden Globes.
Pascal also recalled in an interview how he met Culkin at a theatre in New York. The actor revealed that Culkin boosted his confidence as an actor after he praised him for his theatre acting but admitted that Culkin would deny this if they asked him to recall this story now. Despite losing to Pascal, Culkin’s TV show Succession managed to win the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Drama Series.
Pedro Pascal recalled his first meeting with Kieran Culkin
At the 2024 SAG Awards, actor Pedro Pascal told ExtraTV about his first meeting with Kieran Culkin at a theatre in New York. Acknowledging his bromance with Culkin, the actor said,
“I was doing a play at a theater called ‘Second Stage,’ he had done a play in the same season or was in the next play that season – He saw me on stage and actually came up and said hello to me. I knew who he was – I had already seen him in ‘Igby Goes Down.’ [He] kind of made my day by coming up and telling me that he thought I did a good job in the play. He’ll never remember this, he’ll probably deny it even.”
Kieran Culkin managed to beat Pascal when he won Best Actor in a Television Series at the 2024 Golden Globes for his work as Roman Roy in the HBO television series Succession. Pascal managed to take his revenge by beating him at the 2024 SAG Awards.
Pedro Pascal wants to “make out” with Kieran Culkin as revenge
At the event, Tan France asked Pascal how he was planning to “rag” Culkin at the after-party as he managed to snatch away the award from him. Pascal immediately replied,
“I’m going to make out with Kieran tonight – That’ll be my revenge.”
During his 2024 Golden Globes acceptance speech, Kieran Culkin told Pascal to “suck it” as he managed to beat him. Their bromance is not the only reason why they have been the center of attention lately, but their outstanding performances have led to a massive surge in their popularity.
In a way, Culkin motivated Pascal to become an actor so it is surely exciting to see how far Pascal has come. Culkin didn’t go empty-handed as the cast of Succession managed to win the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Drama Series at the event.
