It has been said a number of times that Helldivers 2 is a game where things keep changing every now and then. Players are constantly fighting this ever-going galactic war against some very relentless enemy forces. One thing that keeps this game ahead of everything else out there is the fact that it’s not scripted. This means the things that happen in it are mostly unplanned.

The dynamic nature of this game means players can expect sudden reinforcements. The tide of war can change at any moment. As a result of these things, they can end up losing some wars that they were sure they would win at some point. And that’s why a recent win sounds even more exciting.

The core aspect of Helldivers 2 is shooting various enemies while partnered with your pals. It’s a co-op game, and people partner with each other to destroy various targets and also liberate a number of planets captured by the enemy forces.

Talking about those forces, there are just two at the moment, but they are relentless. One of them is Terminids, which are simply a bunch of insects that swoop through the map, shoot acidic bile and such. They are constantly evolving too, introducing new hurdles for the players.

On the other hand, there are automatons, a bunch of robots that come in all shapes and sizes. These ones fire snipers like Ammo, and some of them even shoot massive rockets at players. It’s not an easy task to take them down. To make things worse, there’s a supposed dark secret behind their existence too.

When it comes to dealing with these threats, players are pretty good; they know their weaknesses and the best weapons to use. But sometimes this is not all that one needs to win a war; they need a bit of luck too.

That’s what they ran out of a while ago when players lost a place called Malevelon Creek to enemy forces. They were demotivated for a bit; they even compared it to one of the most shocking moments in gaming. But at the end of the day, they pushed through and won.

There's plenty of enemy factions that we still haven't come across yet

This showed how a bunch of players can achieve victory if they push hard enough and their numbers are strong. Now, mere days after winning Malevelon Creek, players have achieved yet another success. They have won a war against automatons on TIBIT.

This automaton-controlled planet was something else. But players completed all the given objectives right on time, pushing the liberation percentage to 100%. It’s evident from the way these liberation orders come across that these missions are often designed in a way to make sure every player gives their best.

Some suggest the best way to reach 100% liberation is to make sure you are participating in some low-difficulty missions that complete faster and contribute to the ever-increasing percentage. Still, this win is a great one, but it’s not the last one. There’s a long way to go as this war keeps on raging.

The new faction is still on the way, it seems!

The weapons and stratagems all serve specific purposes, which become useful in the various situations the game puts its players in.

While rumors about this new faction Illuminate are everywhere, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has not confirmed anything. It looks like fans will be waiting a bit longer for this update.
