After being review-bombed by fans, Helldivers 2 is giving them the treatment they deserve. The game has become a fan favorite since its launch for its high-octane and cinematic gameplay. Sony’s decision to remove the game from PSN-unsupported regions barred many from playing the game.
Recently, it became PlayStation’s fastest-selling game, with 12 million copies sold in the first three months. The record was previously held by God of War: Ragnarök, which sold 11 million copies. Undoubtedly, Steam had a major role to play in pushing sales to this extent and the company is reportedly working on getting the game back in several regions.

It seems like Sony has buckled down and is removing restrictions from countries affected by its recent decision about the linking of Steam and PSN accounts. In a recently shared image over Reddit, it highlights regions including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and more.
Users in the Reddit community began debating over this, where one user dubbed Fit_Fisherman_9840 suggested they were “adjusting American territories.”

Africa has a relatively small gaming console market, with the latest available data indicating a revenue of $356 million from the region. All in all, the entire console market amounts to over $25 billion.
The PSN and Steam controversy did take a toll on Arrowhead, as the developer had to balance things out while dodging the bullets and working with Sony but things have quietened down now.
Helldivers 2 Fans Are One of The Best Gaming Communities

The gaming industry holds several gems as far as communities are concerned, with the Helldivers 2 community being a recent addition to it. Recently, fans came together to commemorate a comrade who took their last breath. Sony did a fantastic job of reversing the decision before things could get any more worse.
Spitz, the community manager of the game, was fired following the disastrous turn of events following the PSN mandate. However, the community again came together and filed a petition to bring the man back. He was relieved of his duty earlier this month.
Although things are coming back to normal, not all the countries have seen the ban lifted yet. However, with the image shared on Reddit, we can assume that it’s still a work in progress and Helldivers 2 could soon get back up in other regions as well.
Do you think all the countries from where Helldivers 2 was removed will relist the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
