Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 continues to make headlines. Ever since the game launched on February 8, 2024, it has been crushing records, and keeping the developers on their toes to keep the game updated.
The game opened to a highly positive reception, leading to the servers crashing due to the overload of players. Subsequently, the developers introduced a number of measures such as increasing server capacity, AFK timers, and a number of updates to keep the game running smoothly.
Likewise, the game received another update recently in Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.100.
Major changes in Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.100
Although the latest patch 01.000.100 is being called a ‘Minor Patch’, if closely looked at, it, in fact, makes some significant meta-altering updates. There are a lot of weapons that have been rebalanced, along with environmental dangers being introduced to planets.
The magazine capacity of the famous Breaker has been reduced, while the Railgun penetrates armor less when in Safe Mode.
On the other hand, the flamethrower after the update will dish out an additional 50 percent damage every second. The Laser Cannon also delivers more damage overall, while the Punisher has its capacity and stagger force buffed.
Similarly, the Breaker has fewer shots, however, these are now more potent and fire faster. When it comes to the stratagems, the Energy Shield backpack will take longer to start recharging, as the 3800 and 120mm Orbital Barrages will last longer, however with a decreased spread.
Just when one thought the buffed weapons of the teammates were not dangerous enough, the update now gives planets fire tornadoes, and meteor showers to keep players on the edge of their seats. The Eradicate Missions will also take twice as long to complete along with more kills, meaning more enemies.

While the patch does introduce a lot of updates and changes, there are also a few issues that are prevalent in Helldivers 2. These issues may have either been introduced by this patch or are existing issues from previous patches being worked on by the developers.
The developers acknowledged these issues in the patch notes for update 01.000.100. These include:
