Helldivers 2 released on February 8 2024 and amassed a million copies in sales within 3 days of its launch. Like Palworld, the developers of the game did not expect a massive opening. So, within a short time, the already stretched-thin team of developers was set putting out metaphorical fires in the form of server crashes and gameplay glitches.
But, despite the initial hiccups, Helldivers 2 has quickly emerged as one of the best games released in 2024 so far. Players and fans have left raving reviews of the game across community forums that have inspired a lot of new players to go for the game. With a number of Helldivers 2 items available in the game, it is imperative to choose the one that fits your playing style and mission objectives.
Helldivers 2 Item That’ll Give You Speed and Stamina
Helldivers 2 is filled with items that give players unique boosts. The armor rating in the game is slightly bugged as of now and does nothing to help with damage reduction. So, the best way for players to tackle this situation is to equip items that give boosts other than armor.

One such item is the SC-30 Trailblazer Scout helmet. It gives users an insane speed and stamina regen boost. Although the description of the item in the game does not specify any additional bonuses, once equipped, this item increases movement speed and stamina regen.
However, the armor is reduced a bit. With the armor rating currently bugged, the reduction will not matter. So equip the best helmet in Helldivers 2 and give hell to those bugs and robots.
Fan Reactions Reveal A Weird Truth
While this Helldivers 2 item does look cool, the fan reactions in the comments of the post revealed some pretty weird facts. Facts, that the developers should rectify with updates and patches in the future.
Some players are suffering because of the armor rating bug as a user commented, “Armour is bugged? Is that why I get 1 shot by basically everything in the game no matter what armour set I wear“. While some may simply say that this is a one-off case or that the player is not a skillful player, being one shot through every armor set is a valid point of concern.
So, putting two and two together here, we get that the wearer doesn’t get any armor boost no matter how heavy the armor is because of the armor glitch. Heavy armors reduce movement speed and stamina regen at the cost of highly increased armor. Thus, heavy armors offer no benefits and reduce movement speed and stamina regen.
The conclusion from all these is that for now, players are better off using light armor sets. Players whose playing styles are heavy, entrenched, and/or tanky, are going to have to adjust to the swifter and faster players’ playing styles.
We are looking forward to future updates from Arrowhead Game Studios who are no doubt aware of the situation. Considering the outstanding game the studio delivered, players can expect some fixes soon. However, till those come along, the SC-30 Trailblazer Scout helmet will remain the best helmet in Helldivers 2.
