Helldivers 2 was a surprise from Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment. No one could have anticipated the positive feedback from the gaming community the game received and the developers are actively improving the title each day.
The major problem for a live-service game is the need for constant updates for the system and content to keep players engaged. Creativity is essential for such games and Arrowhead Game Studios is backed up by its supportive community.
New Helldivers 2 Mission Mode Will Rely on Teamwork
Mission variety is important for shooter games like Arrowhead Studios’ latest, there is only so much a player can do and it is up to the developers to come up with something different. Fans of the game would share suggestions like implementing a Gears of War 2-style mission.
This time around, a new idea is being passed around and it is designed to be hectic and catastrophic that involves the Terminids. There is no shame in taking inspiration from other video games, but this is a more original idea that fits the theme and core of the game.

This is the right step forward for the developers. The gaming community recently called out Joel, the omnipotent game master for a much more challenging game and this may be a perfect way to retaliate.
Johan Pilestedt serves as the game director as well as the CEO of Arrowhead, and it wasn’t long ago when he slipped and teased a weapon that would involve more than one Helldiver to operate: the heavy machine gun which is one of the most heavily requested weapons by the players.
Helldivers 2 Is About to Get Harder and More Chaotic
Arrowhead Game Studios has set out with a mission to deliver a near-realistic experience of intergalactic warfare but has achieved it effortlessly and then some. The unexpected success has opened new doors of opportunities for Pilestedt and the future may hold more enemy types which he just teased.
The Terminid could only just be the beginning. Perhaps some of the developers have seen how creative the gaming community can be and implement the idea of a combining automaton monstrosity.
Nevertheless, Pilestedt has high hopes for the future of the game and even confirmed it is the start of an expanding universe, perhaps more sequels or spinoffs with different structures are currently being planned for PlayStation 5 and PC users to enjoy. Multiplayer games must have a diverse selection of game modes that could cater to and appeal to the larger gaming community.
Failing to do so and adapt to the times will result in total failure. Arrowhead Studios had a great thing and had no intention of fumbling at all. Meeting the expectations of the fans is a much more demanding task but with creativity on the side of talented developers, there is little to worry about.
