Helldivers 2 was a massive success for Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Johan Pilestedt serves as the CEO of Arrowhead Studios and the game director for the successful live service title and is an avid gamer himself.
It is wholesome to see developers support fellow developers. Pilestedt is vocal about how much he loved the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance by Warhorse Studios and is looking forward to the sequel. Perhaps the director could incorporate some concept for a future Helldivers project.
Helldivers 2 game director Johan Pilestedt Ioves All Video Games
The director is very outgoing and has an approachable nature that would lead to very awkward but wholesome fan interactions in public. In terms of interactions through social media, Pilestedt has ticked every box in the checklist and has received some form of training in public relations and does not hold back especially if he is talking about something he is passionate about like his excitement for Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
I am so excited for @WarhorseStudios and #KingdomComeDeliverance2. I loved the first game and it's brave take on combat. The story was great as well, really drew me in. Hope the team knocks it out of the park with this long awaited sequel.

Pilestedt is also a fan of real-time strategy games like Manor Lords, perhaps he is taking some inspiration or at least ideas to later use in future updates for his most successful game yet.
Is anyone else excited for @LordsManor? I am a huge fan of these types of city builders.

The gaming industry can be a dangerous place to start a career but with people like Pilestedt who is very friendly with almost anyone as evidenced by the hearty exchange with the developers of Alan Wake 2. Remedy Entertainment sent a lovely gift and fans are begging for a crossover between the two games.
Pilestedt was a gamer in his youth and was mainly inspired by Nintendo to pursue a career in game development. It would be amazing to see concepts from Manor Lords and Kingdom Come: Deliverance be experimented on by the team over at Arrowhead Game Studios as part of Pilestedt’s initiative for an expanding universe.
Johan Pilestedt’s Gaming Preferences Could Influence Helldivers 2
It wasn’t long ago when Pilestedt shared his two cents about which game he would like to inject into the multiplayer game and it was Nintendo’s Star Fox. Perhaps the possibilities are endless and should not be restricted to the current game but Arrowhead Studios should have a much more ambitious roadmap that can feature different genres of gaming inspired by older successful games.
Pilestedt is intrigued with the idea of exploring other modes of games that can fit well with his current creative vision. It is all relevant in the gaming industry to find more creative ways to increase the player count and take the franchise in newer directions to adjust to the demands of the gaming community and trends.
Perhaps the game director is just like anyone else and isn’t limiting himself to a specific genre of gaming and wants to see what others have to offer. It is exciting to think that Helldivers could potentially go on a different route and deviate from the current formula, even in other formats like live-action films.
