Helldivers 2 is a great first attempt for Sony Interactive Entertainment to enter the live-service domain of gaming. The developers over at Arrowhead Game Studios are working tirelessly day and night to find more creative ways to keep the community entertained.

The game is all about intergalactic warfare and players are captivated by the feeling of invulnerability. Players are provided with a variety of tools at their disposal, including the powerful exosuit but there is a way to make it even more fun.

The Mechs in Helldivers 2 Could use some Room to Grow

The community wasted no time grinding the game to unlock the mechs that impressed Johan Pilestedt, the game director and CEO of Arrowhead Studios. The mechs were unlocked way faster than anticipated and the game struggled to keep up with the demand. These machines of war were put to good use; however, it can be improved by giving more options in terms of weaponry.

If a mech can have a Gatling machine gun on one arm and a rocket pod on the other, it could be a major advantage in the middle of a firefight. The community recently called out the game master and asked for something more challenging, and Joel may retaliate accordingly by unleashing the enemy forces tenfold.

Firepower is essential in war; if players can get their hands on something extra, then it could shift the tide in their favor. Not only will it give the community a leg up in a fight but it can also attract older players who left the game to come back and customize their mechs to their liking.

Helldivers 2 Mechs Will Change How the Game Is Played

Helldivers 2 players need to tune up their mechs for the coming threats.

It wasn’t long ago when Pilestedt gave a subtle tease that the game could feature new enemy types to up the ante. There is no telling how formidable these new threats will be, and players could use an extra hand from their trusty mechs to modify it with a specific pair of weapons.

Being able to select the combination of sentry weapons can be a fun way to plan before a mission. Most players would run for their lives and shoot blindly rather than face the hostile threat head-on due to the lack of firepower, and this augmentation can make a difference.

Modern problems require modern solutions. If Arrowhead Game Studios is cooking something that could decimate the players, then the community would need something to even the odds. Nobody wants to fight an uphill battle, but it is time for the players to take matters into their own hands and for the developers to give them access and the tools to fight the war on their terms.

The war for democracy is far from over, and Pilestedt’s promise of an expanding universe is slowly coming to fruition. The brave heroes on the frontlines will need more support for the war effort, and this simple improvement to the mechs can not only improve the chances of winning but also boost the morale and entertainment factor.
