Helldivers 2 is getting more and more support from the developers over at Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment is over the moon with the game’s success. Live service games need something new to spice things up from time to time, and fans saw a hint of it.
Crossovers are the clashing of worlds between two or more franchises and fans just deciphered a cryptic post that seemingly hints at a collaboration with Deep Rock Galactic.
Helldivers 2 Crossover With Deep Rock Galactic Is Seemingly Imminent
Arrowhead Studios is known for the cheerful and approachable vibe the developers have with members of the community on social media and how friendly the company can be to fellow developers like Remedy Entertainment. The company just posted a binary code and it didn’t take long for fans to crack it.
Helldivers 2 main account casually posts the following binary and then deletes it.
It translates to “Where is Karl?”

It turns out the binary code translated to “Where is Karl?”, and players of Deep Rock Galactic are well aware of who this character is. Perhaps this could all be fun and games between two developers and a publicity stunt, or it could be something else entirely.

Moments like these can rattle some cages and generate some hype over something that isn’t there. There is still a possibility that Arrowhead Studios and Ghost Ship Games are working on something that is being kept under wraps, but it is all speculation up to this point.
Bringing together different pieces of popular media can have some positive fruit to bear, other live service games like Call of Duty and Fortnite have all reaped the benefits of collaborating with popular franchises. This will often boost the player count, and perhaps Helldivers 2 can do something like it down the line.
