Helldivers 2 players have managed to destroy a Terminid Supercolony by destroying Meridia planet of the Umlaut sector. This was achieved by injecting Dark Fluid into the planet’s core but its destruction has formed a massive black hole in its place. Many theories are circulating on social media that claim Super Earth has made a huge mistake by destroying Meridia.
A latest theory on the Helldivers 2 subreddit claims that the black hole acts as a wormhole between the past, present, and future, this means that this black hole will allow the Illuminate to travel from the past to the present. It doesn’t end there, some believe that Super Earth forces from the First Galactic War may join the present forces to defeat the Illuminate.
Will the Illuminate use the new black hole in Helldivers 2 to invade Super Earth?
A Reddit user named TheFallenHero89 has shared a theory on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit suggesting that the Illuminate will use the newly formed black hole to invade Super Earth. As per this theory, the black hole, that was formed after the destruction of Meridia, will act as a wormhole between the past, present and future, allowing the Illuminate to travel from the past to our present.
Super Earth fought against the Illuminate during the First Galactic War but if this theory is true then the Illuminate from that war can travel to our present to invade Super Earth, so Super Earth may have made a huge mistake by creating this suspicious black hole that is constantly consuming planets and stars.
Players speculate that the Super Earth forces from the First Galactic War will support the Helldivers
If the Illuminate can use this black hole to travel from the past to the present then Super Earth forces from the past can also use it, supporting players in their war against the Illuminate. Just when Helldivers feel outnumbered, a Super Destroyer comes out of the black hole to fight alongside the players.
The Dark Fluid that players injected into Meridia was obtained from the Illuminate from the First Galactic War, so it is becoming more and more apparent that this event will definitely begin the Illuminate invasion.
