There are many ways to cause destruction and secure the mission in Helldivers 2. Arrowhead’s game offers players a variety of weapons, places them in a squad, and throws swarms and hordes of Terminids and Automatons to shoot at. But, let’s not forget stratagems.
While they need to be used more tactically, stratagems offer both offensive and defensive capabilities. Depending on whether you call down an Orbital or Eagle stratagem, you must account for three things: call-in time, its impact, and finally the cooldown time. One Redditor has proposed an idea for the ratio of these three, which Arrowhead Games would do well to consider!

Many fans of the game believe Orbital stratagems need to be fine-tuned to reduce the cooldown time and make them more effective. But one Redditor disagrees and creates a compelling argument for an alternate solution.

u/Hikatokage feels that Orbitals shouldn’t get a lower cooldown but should become stronger. They are fine with a higher cooldown timer and even a longer call-in timer if it means the Orbital is a heavy hitter. Their theory is mainly focused on the 120MM, 380MM, Gatling, and Railcannon.
These are great stratagems when trying to bring down an outpost and can decimate large waves of enemies if used correctly. But there’s the issue of swarms and patrols.
That’s where the Eagle stratagems fly in. The OP states these Helldivers 2 stratagems should have little to no cooldown but offer low damage capabilities. As such, they can offer a degree of freedom in terms of when and where to be used but only deal with a single wave at a time.
The poster also agrees with others in the subreddit, stating the Railcannon should be able to one-shot bile titans and destructible mission objectives, as it has a more reliable damage output than the 500KG Bomb.

The player base is going strong for Helldivers 2, and we may be seeing fresh recruits on the frontlines. Some rumors suggest talks have been initiated to bring the PlayStation exclusive to Xbox. While nothing is set in stone as of yet, this is a promising development, especially since players have begun petitions to get Helldivers 2 onto Microsoft’s console.
