The game has a widely celebrated fanbase in the United Kingdom and has led to many spin-offs, novels, comics, and video games under its title. The sci-fi story is set 40,000 years ahead in the future. Now it is finally going to get a fully-fledged live-action adaptation as Cavill announced a brand new cinematic universe based on the game.

The reports about a Warhammer universe were in talks for many days with The Hollywood Reporter stating the involvement of Henry Cavill with the project. The news was finally confirmed when the Enola Holmes actor took to his Instagram account to announce the project with a big note.

As per reports, the Man of Steel actor is involved as an actor as well as an executive producer of the series. The project is being made at Amazon in partnership with Natalie Viscusco’s Vertigo. Announcing the project, Cavill wrote:

“For 30 years I have dreamt of seeing a Warhammer universe in live action. Now, after 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life. Partnering with Natalie Viscuso at Vertigo has been a blessing beyond words, without her we might not have found the perfect home at Amazon. And having a home like Amazon will give us the freedom to be true to the massive scope of Warhammer.”

Further, the actor also stated that he will try his best to bring something fantastic to his fans but as of now, it is in the very initial stage thereby the hunt for a filmmaker and writer still going on.
